Fresh and lovely and worrying a lot...

Got back from Greece just over a week ago and my tan is already fading - bloody english summers! It was a good two weeks, it has to be the most beautiful island I have ever seen.... albeit the only island I have been to unless you count the UK (but that's not beautiful, really). But anyway, it's gorgeous... No grass, mind. That was something I had to get used to... No grass, no lawns.... no rain, that's why! There was nearly no water on the island, our apartment had it because it's a holiday apartment. But the Greeks don't take things like hose pipe bans, they wave their hose pipes around and water their flowers like it's going out of fashion! So, anyway it was a good time. I learnt a lot about Aristotle Onassis (who was a horrible man!) who was the richest man in the world in the 1950's and bought two islands arounf Lafkada called Scorpios and Sparti. There's a very sad history behind him and his family, a lot of tragic deaths and now the islands are uninhabited and are unlikely to have residents ever again. I think there is only one living relative left of the Onassis family and that is Athina, granddaughter of Aristotle Onassis and daughter of Christina Onassis who died of a drugs overdose in the 1980's. See, a fun family indeed.

So, I'm back! Haven't been doing much in the last week. Well, I went to two art exhibitions with liz and Laura last Thursday in London. One was Antony Gormley's Blind Light which was fantastic and well worth seeing.... but it closes at the end of this week or something so HURRY! The other was the summer exhibition at the Royal Acadmy of Arts which was also excellent, there's some crazy suff that these artists do! And both those exhibitions cost a total of £8 so it's quite cheap.... That is student prices though so.... It was a very fun day out indeed.

Nothing else really. Oh, went to Eastbourne yesterday with Kangaroos... Why is it bloody cold whenever we go to the seaside with kangaroos?! Anyway, we spent most of the time in the arcade bit on the pier so I was freezing. The kids enjoyed it to say the least.

Hmmm, GCSE results soon. If they are good I may post them on here, if not then I won't!
